May 26th, Saturday 2018
Mayo River State Park
We will be in a grass area because of the terrain around the lake. We will have an area where people can try casting, and we will do tying demos. Depending on the wind. tying can be challenging. Laura Kennerly will set up around 8-8:15, laying out a casting area, and setting up a 10x10 shelter and tables. The Boy Scouts will provide volunteers hotdogs for lunch. (We were actually rained out shortly after 12:00.)
More info see Mayo River State Park Family Fishing Day
The Nat Greene Fly Fishers Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be on hand to give fly casting and tying lessons to interested attendees
Directions: From Greensboro, take Highway 220 North to the Stoneville exit and turn left onto Highway 220 Business toward Mayodan.
